Woman dies after marina rescue

A woman has died in hospital after being pulled out of Portishead Marina last night (Thursday).

Police, fire crews and Portishead coastguard were called to reports of an unconcsious woman in in the water near Parish Wharf Leisure Centre at about 10.45pm.

After being rescued from the water she was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary where she later died.
