Fourteen luxury caravans may be installed in Walton-in-Gordano if planning permission is given tomorrow (Wednesday) by North Somerset councillors.

The Barton Homes Group wants to build the park homes at a former caravan site in Coast Road.

Walton-in-Gordano Parish Council objected to the plans, saying a mass of materials had been dumped on the land, meaning the homes would be higher up, and therefore intrusive.

It also said the entrance needs to be made bigger, as cars going past have got faster and it is more difficult to enter and exit the site.

North Somerset Council documents say work is underway to reduce the ground levels.

The application is recommended for approval by the district authority, as planning permission was given for a similar scheme in 2008.

The Barton Homes Group says Seascapes Park would offer high-quality homes with stunning views.
