The Story Cellar hosted the three-day workshop where children aged six to 11 created a play based on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne.

The children from Pill and Portishead made their own props for the underwater adventure story.

At the end of the three days, they performed their show to family and friends at Pill Community Centre in Church Lane.

Liz Felton, artistic director at The Story Cellar, said: “They were wonderful and so brave getting up and performing to their family and friends.

“They did so well.”

The Story Cellar’s next project will take place in the October half-term holidays in Pill, and will involve Harry Potter.

The dates have not been confirmed, but people can email liz@thestorycellar.co.uk for details when they are released.
