A 14-year-old dancer from Nailsea has been chosen to compete in the IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Germany.

Emilia Nurminen has been dancing since she was 18 months old and takes ballet, tap and modern dance lessons at Adele Stitch School of Dance.

Emilia is also an associate
of Ballet at Cymru in
Newport and Tap Attack in Swindon and she has been chosen to represent her country at the world championships in November.

The talented dancer, who attends Nailsea School, is now hoping to raise £750 so she can attend the competition.

Emilia has started running a tuck shop at the Wesley Building in Nailsea on Saturday mornings for children attending dance classes, where she also sells second-hand dance wear.
