Sponsorship scheme for Clevedon Pier extended

A retirement complex has extended its sponsorship of Clevedon Pier.

The Hawthorns in Elton Road began sponsoring the grade I-listed pier in 2015 with many staff and residents joining its community shares scheme.

The partnership will now continue throughout 2018.

Avery Healthcare commercial director Mark Danis said: “We are keen to support the great work the Clevedon Pier and Heritage Trust has done and will do with its future plans.

“It is an iconic landmark and something the residents and staff at The Hawthorns enjoy and wish to support, which is why many have become shareholders in their own right.”

Clevedon Pier and Heritage Trust chairman Phil Curme added: “Since The Hawthorns first opened in Clevedon its management team and residents have been keen supporters of the pier, and it is wonderful to see this relationship going from strength to strength.”
