There are severe delays on the M5 this evening (Tuesday) due to two separate accidents.

Delays of more than 50 minutes are being reported and one lane is closed on the southbound carriageway between junction 20 for Clevedon and junction 17, due to an accident involving a camper van.

Highways England earlier tweeted to day emergency services were at the scene and damage had been caused to the barrier.

Traffic is also moving very slowly at junction 19 for Portishead due to a separate incident where a lane is also closed.
