The Clevedon group is looking for people to collect people’s loose change from October 27 to November 11 around the town.

They will be based outside supermarkets and in the town centre for two weeks to raise as much cash to go towards supporting people in active service and veteran armed forces personnel.

Clevedon’s Poppy Appeal organiser Phyl Blackwell said: “We are also in need of volunteers to help deliver and collect back the boxes and tins that go out to shops, offices, pubs, restaurants, schools and churches which support us
by having poppies during this time.”

A poppy collectors evening will be held in St Andrew’s Church hall, in Old Church Road, on October 4 at 7.30pm.
