Storm Emma and large amounts of snow are due to hit North Somerset today, so the North Somerset Times has the latest details on the disruption affecting schools, transport and other services.

Share your snow pictures and information by emailing nstimes@archant.co.uk, post them on our Facebook page or tweet @NSomTimes and use the hashtag #NSSnow.

Snow has been forecast since the weekend, when the Met Office first issued a yellow weather warning. This was updated to an amber warning, as the effect of the snow was predicted to be more severe than originally expected.

Ice and wind warnings have also been in place, and roads and pavements are expected to be slippery.

Public Health England issued its own warnings as young and elderly people can become ill in the cold.

But while the snow has caused problems, it has also made for some stunning photographs.
