A Portishead physiotherapist has cycled almost 30 miles to visit clients.

Skye Ramell from Severn Physiotherapy, which provides treatment at patients’ homes, spent more than two hours pedalling from her home in the town, to south Bristol and back.

She was also inspired by the Tour of Britain which held a stage in North Somerset earlier in the month.

Skye said: “I love cycling. I am not particularly fast but it is much nicer than being stuck in traffic.

“At Severn Physiotherapy we want to be as sustainable as possible so I tend to cycle to as many visits as I can.

“Also, as a physiotherapist I spend all day asking my patients to push themselves so it is only fair I do the same.

“The main challenge was the logistics of finding somewhere safe to park my bike near patient’s homes.

“It was also important to find somewhere I could get cleaned up so I looked presentable for patients.”
