Police are trying to track down a man who should be recalled to prison.

A public appeal to find Alan Gilbert has been issued by Avon and Somerset Constabulary this morning (Friday).

The 46-year-old is well-known in parts of the South West.

A police spokesman said: “He is known to frequent Bristol as well as Somerset.

“If you see Gilbert, please call 999 and provide the call handler with the reference 5218094720.

“If you have any information that you think could help us find him, please call 101, quoting the same reference.”
