Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was injured following a collision with a car in Nailsea


A elderly woman suffered series head injuries after colliding with a car in Nailsea.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened yesterday (Wednesday) at 8.30am in Heath Road.

The pedestrian suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital by air ambulance.

She remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

It is believed people travelling to work or school may have witnessed the collision.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call Avon and Somerset police on 101 and quote reference 5217231856.
