The Charles Green family fun day saw people turn up in their hundreds to soak up the sun and take part in a number of games and tuck into some delicious food.

The one-day event, which is held in memory of ‘Mr Clevedon United’ Charles Green, was held at the ground in Coleridge Vale.

One of the organisers, Dena Mann, described the day as ‘phenomenal’ with more than 1,000 people turning up.

She added: “It was a record-breaking day for us and we think we have raised approximately £5,000 for the club and Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

“Without this event, the club would not be able to run and the hospice was a passion of Charles’.”

There were games, live music and entertainment, food and bouncy castles for all ages to enjoy.
