A Pill charity is urgently calling on people to sign up for a half marathon to raise much-needed cash to fund its ongoing work.

Penny Brohn UK is looking for people to register for the Bristol Half Marathon taking place in the nearby city on September 23.

The cancer charity is offering up places for £40 registration with runners asked to raise £250 in sponsorship.

Penny Brohn UK fundraising assistant Sarah Godfrey said: “The Bristol Half Marathon is a brilliant chance to see beautiful Bristol while helping us continue to support people affected with cancer to live well.

“We will fully support you with things including a personalised running vest, fundraising pack, training and fundraising e-newsletters and a chance to visit us to see how you have helped.”

The charity offers people physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual help after a cancer diagnosis.

For more information, call Sarah on 01275 370072 or email running@pennybrohn.org.uk
