Members of North Somerset Open Britain were out in Nailsea drumming up support for the national People’s Vote campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to persuade the Government to give the British people the final say on any EU Brexit deal.

Local campaigner Andrew Wright said: “Support for a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal has been building across the country and we have noticed particular interest among young people.

“Again, the result in our mood boxes showed the majority of those who took part in our survey supported a People’s Vote and actually makes Nailsea one of the most positive pro-vote towns in North Somerset.

“The recent news that a British businessman has donated £1million to the national campaign has really put a spring in our step.”

The national People’s Vote campaign has been given £1million from Julian Dunkerton, the head of Superdry fashion label.
