What Halloween events are taking place in North Somerset in 2018?

Ghosts, ghouls and goblins will come out of the woodwork this Halloween to enjoy one of the many spooky events taking place in North Somerset.

Carve a terrifying jack-o’-lantern pumpkin and find your most scary outfit to take home the trophy at a fancy dress competition.

Here are just some of the Halloween events taking place:

• Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, in Clevedon Road, will host special Halloween events from Saturday to November 3 from 10am-5pm.

Tickets, priced £8-12, are available at www.noahsarkzoofarm.co.uk or on 01275 852606.

• The North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre, in Smallway, will hold an owl Halloween-themed day on Saturday.

From 4-6.30pm you can fly an owl, hold a snake and meet some peculiar animals.

Tickets, priced £5-10, are available on arrival.

• Portishead Town Football Club, in Bristol Road, will also host a spooky family Halloween party on Saturday at 6pm.

There will be fun and games for all the family and spooky costumes are a must.

• Clevedon Rugby Club, in Coleridge Vale, will host a Halloween party on Saturday at 7pm.

There will be games, a disco and competitions and it costs £2 per child and adults go free.

• Nailsea Football Club will host a spooky party at the Grove Sports Centre, in St Mary’s Grove, on Saturday at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £10, include a free cocktail and there will be games, fancy dress competitions and a DJ.

• Have your palm read, your future told or be healed at the Fragrantly Magickal Halloween fair from 11am-4pm at the Clevedon Town Council offices in Old Street on Sunday.

• Tyntesfield will host a Halloween family session on Tuesday from 10.30am-12.30pm. People will paint a pumpkin, make a spooky friend and take part in some festive games.

Tickets, priced £2-6, can be purchased on the door or online at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tyntesfield

• Grab your swimming gear for one last dip at the orange-coloured Portishead Open Air Pool on Wednesday.

There will be decorations, music, a barbecue and plenty of sweets from 4pm.
