New starters at Nailsea school and sixth form were treated to a welcome breakfast to celebrate their first day.

Pupils from year seven and those going into the sxith form were treated to a continental breakfast, courtesy of Budgens in Nailsea.

The store, in Bristol Road, donated croissants, fruit, pain au chocolat and fruit juice to ease children’s nerves on their first day of the school term.

Store manager, Chris Pilgrim, said: “For the second year running we are proud to provide Nailsea School new starters – year sevens and year 12s with a healthy and filling breakfast to start the day on the right foot.

“In store we live by the ethos of ‘everyone leaves happier’, we extend this vibe to Nailsea School hoping their new starters began their new school day feeling healthy and happy.”

The breakfast eased students into their first day and enabled them to make new friends and chat to staff.
