Two scout groups are teaming up to provide a Christmas postal service in Nailsea and Backwell.

Second Nailsea Scouts and Backwell Scouts have joined forces to deliver good cheer to people in the area.

Last year scouts in Nailsea delivered 5,100 cards across the town and passed a further 560 to their peers in Backwell to deliver round the village.

The Christmas post raised £1,300 for the scout groups and £160 was donated to the Young Carers of Nailsea.

Both groups would like to thank everyone who supported the service by buying stamps, and say they hope the scheme will be a huge success again this year.

The service raises funds for scouts and local charities.

Pring and Co have sponsored the stamps, which will be available to buy from November 11 at Budgens, School Togs, Hunter Leahy, Cohens Chemist, Co-op, Premier Stores and Maynews in Nailsea as well as a number of outlets in Backwell.
