Children in a North Somerset village enjoyed a taste of life at Hogwarts when their library celebrated the annual Harry Potter book night.

The much-loved stories of JK Rowling’s boy wizard were celebrated during a fun event at Yatton Library.

Children were able to dress up as their favourite characters from the series and tried their hands at a range of spells and tricks throughout the evening.

Alongside being able to read the books, aspiring witches and wizards were also encouraged by librarians to get creative with a range of craft activities on offer.

The event, which is in its third year, celebrates all things Potter and introduces the books to the next generation of readers.
