Hundreds walk with Roary

HUNDREDS of Portishead schoolchildren joined Roary the Lion and his friends for a sponsored walk at the Lake Grounds on Sunday.
The walk, organised by the Lions Club of Portishead, was held to help raise funds for the town’s schools.
Children were given jubilee medals for completing the lap around the seafront beauty spot, thanks to main the sponsor, Portishead-based business Viper Subsea.
Sideshows, music by Portishead Concert Band, puppet shows and baton twirling all added to the day’s events.
