A new hair and beauty salon has opened in the centre of Pill.

The Style Room @ No 4, in Bank Place, was previously known as The Heywood Salon and offers high quality hair styling and colouring by a team of experienced staff.

The business’ director, Jo Tuckwell, has had 28 years of hairdressing experience and is a Wella master expert colourist herself while her daughter, Katie Maclennan, also works at the salon which has been given a completely new look.

Jo said: “I had a salon years ago but I have been teaching colouring for the past 10 years.

“We have refurbished, rebranded and it has been going really well.”

As well as the hair salon, a variety of specialists offering different massage treatments will work from a dedicated beauty room at the back of the salon on different days throughout the week.

Holistic treatments including aromatherapy, Indian head massage and reflexology will be available on Tuesdays while home visits are also available on request.

Sports massage and physiotherapy services will also be on offer by a qualified sports therapist on various days during the week.

The salon hosted a grand opening party at the weekend to celebrate the salon’s expansion.
