Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary is urging people to take the plunge for its fundraising drive.

People are being encouraged to jump into Portishead Quays Marina and then be rescued by a trained Newfoundland dog.

The animal sanctuary in Barrow Gurney needs about £1,680 every day to keep running and receives no funding from the Government or the National Lottery.

The Newfound Friends Team will therefore support Holly Hedge by bringing the dogs to Portishead on July 15.

Holly Hedge wants people to raise at least £150.
