Hundreds of villagers were out to support the annual charity fundraiser.

A pet show started the day off on Saturday before an afternoon of live entertainment by the Twice Dailies, who performed well known and loved Wurzels songs.

Jo Smith, the editor of the Pill Paper, crowned this year’s Rag king and queen, Olly Rush
and Leah Case, before the procession made its way around the village.

Groups, friends and families then put their best foot forward in the Rag parade where costume themes included a Guess Who board game, Alice In Wonderland, Cycling Through The Ages and Christmas lights.

Town crier Pauline McDade said: “What a fantastic day we had. It was absolutely fabulous.

“The sun came out and the day just continued to get better.”
