A charity golf day has raised thousands of pounds for a Clevedon charity.

The Friends of North Somerset Community Hospital enjoyed a
day in the sunshine on Monday as they took to Clevedon Golf Club’s course to raise money for the hospital.

Team Fore – made up of quintet John Turnbull, Colin Simpson, Phil Osmond, Michael Morfitt and Di Brown – thankfully did not live up to their name as they took home the trophy for the day.

The event saw the Friends raise £2,500 for the hospital on what was a ‘glorious day’, according to chairman Di Brown.

She added: “Our thanks to the teams competing, raffle donors and sponsors.”

Sponsors included the Neighbourhood Watch group, PACT, Junior Poon, Clevedon Medical Centre and more.

The Friends have previously helped raise tens of thousands of pounds for Clevedon’s hospital
to help buy a musculoskeletal scanner.
