Fire service called to car fire in Claverham

Firefighters spent an hour in High Street in Claverham last night (Monday) after being called to a BMW on fire.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service was called by multiple members of the public shortly after 6.20pm yesterday to a car fire.

Firefighters from Yatton attended the scene and used two high-pressure hose reels to put out the fire. Crews had to use breathing apparatus while tackling the fire and firefighters were at the scene for an hour.

The BMW was severely damaged and the cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
