The harvest season is well and truly upon us and stormy conditions were not sufficient to put off hardy souls in Nailsea.

An apple-pressing afternoon was held at the tithe barn on October 21, despite the mixed weather.

Lots of families took part in the activity day and plenty of delicious and healthy apple juice was produced, bottled up and taken home to enjoy.

Traditional presses were used and people had the chance to make their own fresh juice.

There was also a number of tasty treats for people to eat, with apple-flavoured cakes on offer for people to sample.
