An afternoon of music, dancing and children’s activities was enjoyed in Failand.

All Saints Church hosted a summer fete at Failand village hall, in Ox House Lane.

A number of different stalls were set up with homemade food, face painting, a bouncy castle and tombola on offer.

Live music on Saturday was provided by the Bristol Ukelele Band and a troupe of dancers from Ravenswood School in Nailsea performed routines.

Churchwarden and fete organiser Meg Caton said visitors enjoyed the spectacle.

She said: “We were not blessed with wonderful weather but the event was still well attended.

“It was great considering this was the first time we used the village hall as our venue.

“I would like to thank everyone who came and especially our performers on the day, the Ravenswood dancers were incredible and were very well received.”

A winter fete will take place in Failand on November 24.
