Pupils donate coins to pay for new equipment

Pupils from a Nailsea school emptied their pockets of change and filled their school playground with lines of coins.
St Francis Primary School held a coin day to raise some extra cash towards their new playground equipment.
Parents dug deep to give their children coins to take part.
Each class was challenged to make the longest and straightest line of coins, which were then measured by the year six pupils
The class with the longest line will have the honour of being first to play on the new equipment after it is installed.
Parents and pupils have also helped to prepare the playground for the installation, by shovelling stone, painting benches and pruning shrubs.
The Friends of St Francis have raised almost £20,000 over the past three years to improve the equipment for pupils.
The equipment is due to be installed during the half-term holiday.
