Nailsea School’s new hub won praise from MP Liam Fox after he was given a tour of the new facility.

Students from year seven presented Dr Fox with letters they had written about how well they have settled into the secondary school.

The hub’s inclusive provision offers an alternative curriculum and support to students who may find the transition to secondary school more challenging.

Assistant headteacher Julie Baldwin said: “Substantial planning and effort has gone in to the development of the hub.

“Staff are passionate about this new venture and its positive impact for Nailsea School.

“Students were delighted to meet Dr Fox and always relish the opportunity to take the lead and demonstrate what they value about the school.”

Dr Fox praised the school for its ‘impressive facilities’ and was delighted to meet the students in the new hub.
