Zoe Bullock organised the event to raise money for charity after her dear family friend Vibeke Ulmann died of cancer last year.

Zoe’s mum Sara and brother Cameron completed the 26-mile MoonWalk in London on Saturday, but she was too young to sign up.

The Backwell Junior School student decided to organise a hula hoop challenge instead and 20 pupils from her class joined in and raised £300 for Walk The Walk, which donates money to charities for research and treatment for breast cancer.

Zoe’s mum Sara said: “It was a great afternoon and all the students were very enthusiastic about the challenge, some even designing their own T-shirts.

“It was an amazing example of everyone pulling together and making something good and positive come out of a very sad situation.”
