The man, aged 70, was driving along Kent Road in Congresbury when his car ‘appeared to go out of control’ according to an Avon and Somerset police spokesman.

His Honda was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Corsa, Volkswagen Golf and Peugeot 206 and also hit the walls of two nearby properties.

The emergency services were called at about 10.25am yesterday morning (Sun) and the driver was treated on the scene but later died.

Anyone who witnessed the crash should call the police on 101.

  • Well it wouldn't be fatal if someone wasn't killed, talk about stating the obvious. Fatal Crash kills one.

  • RE Headline: Surely "Fatal crash kills one" reads better? ...obviously if someone has died it's a fatal crash.
