Deadline for Clevedon Lions Dream Scheme cash

PUBLISHED: 13:00 15 February 2017

The deadline for applications for Clevedon Lions’ Dream Scheme project has passed.

The project invites organisations to submit ideas that would benefit the community, with funding offered to help them get off the ground.

The money for the scheme was collected through the Lions’ record-breaking Christmas activities, which raised more than £7,000.

A Lions spokesman said: “The Lions aims to see that the cash collected from the public at Christmas is invested in local good causes to benefit as many local Clevedon people as possible.”

Last year’s Dream Scheme saw 10 groups receive part of a £3,000 pot, while 12 have applied for funding this year.

The winners will be announced at the end of the month after judging by a panel of Lions members.
