A GLOSSY leaflet outlining Nailsea Town Council’s schedule of Diamond Jubilee events has been distributed to community venues in the town.
Celebrations kicked off back in February when a commemorative tree was planted in Jubilee Field and will climax with a carnival on July 7.
Highlights will be picnics organised by Golden Valley Primary and Grove Preschools on Saturday and June 1 respectively, a retro day hosted by the Baptist and Methodist churches on Saturday and a street party outside the Tithe Barn and Holy Trinity Church on June 4, from 7.30pm leading up to the lighting of a Jubilee beacon at 10pm.
