Shops in Clevedon town centre will open late each Friday before Christmas.

A selection of town centre shops will keep their doors open until 7pm to allow busy shoppers an extra chance to find some perfect presents.

The late openings have been organised by Triangle Traders, a group set up by town centre business owners.

Chairman John Fox said: “By opening late on a Friday, we hope to encourage more people to come and shop after work.

“Clevedon has so many good quality shops that you can often pick up the perfect present rather than struggling to get through the traffic to shopping malls.

“We hope that people will find this helpful and support the initiative.

“We promise all shoppers a warm welcome, good customer service and more.”

Businesses taking part include Fragrantly Magickal, Souk, Ziggy, Present Company, Katez Kraftz, Better Mobility and Cancer Research UK
