The car hit a pillar between Lovely Nails & Beauty and the Break charity shop in Old Church Road just before 11am.

The salon remained closed today (Tuesday).

“Casualties from the crash were rescued from the vehicle before fire crews arrived.”

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.40am to reports of a road traffic collision.

“We attended with an ambulance and an operations officer.
