The Marine Lake Enthusiasts (MARLENS) hosted Last Night Of The Proms at the Princes Hall, in Princes Road, on Saturday.

The evening saw people come out in full force with their union jack outfits and flags.

The Bold Brass, under the musical direction of Phil Jones, played popular songs including the Olympic fanfare, Theme by John Williams and ending with Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.

Rachael Cooper, Linda Roberts and Simon Vardalis entertained the crowds with emotional and humorous performances.

The event helped raised funds for the town’s Marine Lake.

The MARLENS’ president, Linda Knott, said: “MARLENS is delighted with the fun and high standard of the performances at The Last Night Of The Proms and would like to thank the organisers for their hard work.”
