A beach clean was organised by Clevedon Pier last week.
More than 30 people took part in the clean-up held next to the pier on May 9.
It was organised by the pier alongside the Marine Conservation Society, and it was the first in a series of cleans organised by the pier.
The results will go to the conservation society’s national survey which aims to improve understanding of marine environments.
Future clean-ups will take place on July 31, September 18 and December 11.
The Times is running its Cleaner Coastlines campaign to achieve plastic-free coastline status for Portishead and Clevedon, working alongside the Turn The Tide Portishead group and North Somerset Council.
