Nine houses could be built at Court Farm.

An application to build nine new homes at a disused farm in Clevedon has been submitted.

Sir Charles Elton, who owns the Clevedon Court estate, wants to create nine new homes at Court Farm off All Saints Lane and has applied for outline planning permission from North Somerset Council.

The development would see six new homes created while a further three homes would be developed by converting existing buildings.

The application’s design and access statement says: “The proposed scheme will make a positive contribution to the character of the area by significantly improving the visualimpact and openness of the site.”

Although residents in All Saints Lane have broadly supported the proposals, some have expressed concern at the increased traffic the development may cause in the area.

The consultation period for this application expires on November 9.
