Extra volunteers are needed to run a hospital café after it was forced to reduce its opening hours.

North Somerset Community Partnership (NSCP) needs more people to help out at The Little Teapot.

The café, based in a conservatory at North Somerset Community Hospital in Clevedon, has been open since 2015 but now must close on Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons due to a lack of volunteers.

Peter Rideout, volunteer lead, said: “People often come in from the hospital, they may have had some bad news or be down in the dumps for some reason.

“They come in, have a chat with the volunteers, tell their story and leave like a different person.

“It is a really nice place to volunteer and help the local community.”

For more information, call NSCP volunteer co-ordinator Cristina Barge on 01934 416486.
