Coffee shop staff enjoyed a 100k cycle ride around North Somerset to raise important cash for a cancer charity.

People from 67BaristaBarber completed the lengthy ride charting North Somerset to raise money for Bike 4 Cancer.

The team – made up of Becky Knight, Becky Chester, Sue Cooper, Jackie Foster, Paula Holme, Julie Bevan and Sarah Trower – completed the Global Rapha 100k Women’s Bike Ride.

They set off from the shop, in Hill Road, at 8.30am on September 15 and hope to have raised more than £500 for their efforts.

Sue told the Times: “The bike ride went really well.

“After a wet start we enjoyed a very scenic ride around the country lanes and coastal roads of North Somerset.”

The sporting-focused charity offers respite days and short-breaks for families affected by cancer – some of which are cycling related.
