A Clevedon choir is looking for singers to join its ranks following its most recent show.

Visitors to Clevedon Pier, in The Beach, were treated to tales of mermaids and sailors as part of a summer choir performance from Clevedon Choral.

The group’s repertoire included The Drunken Sailor, Danny Boy and Married To A Mermaid which members of the summer group had learned and practiced over a six-week period.

The outdoor show was part of the pier’s Summer Serenades season, which brought live music to the attraction for guests to enjoy during July and August.

Clevedon Choral is now inviting new members to give singing a go for its new season with rehearsals staring at Kenn Road Methodist Church on September 10, starting at 7.15pm.

The new programme of music will include A Light In The Stable by Aland Bullard and Christmas settings from Handel’s Messiah.
