People in need of urgent financial support are being urged to apply for a grant.

Yatton United Charities each year provides money to people in need and it is running the scheme again this year.

A spokesman said: “The trustees of the charity are able to make small grants to any resident of Cleeve, Claverham and Yatton who are in need of financial support due to their own limited funds.

“This includes the elderly, children, students, people with disabilities, learning difficulties, and people experiencing a sudden emergency in their life, for example through illness.

“Please note the trustees are able to make emergency grants at any time.”

The deadline for grant applications is August 31 and the money will be allocated by mid-September.
