People are being encouraged to donate their unwanted bras to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Moonrise Lingerie, in Crown Glass Shopping Centre, is collecting bras to support the Breast Cancer Unit Support Trust (BUST).

Owner Tanya Hall has set up a bra bank inside the shop.

She said: “We have had a bra bank bin in our shop for three weeks and have had a phenomenal number of bras donated. To show people the support we have had and encourage more donations of old, unwanted bras, we hung them out on a line out the shop.”

BUST is a Bristol-based charity founded by patients to support the work of the Bristol Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital.

The money raised by recycling the unwanted bras will help to pay for an MRI machine at the hospital and raise awareness of the cause.
