A Clevedon pub has beaten around 2,000 others to be chosen by its parent company to represent it at an award ceremony.
Andrew and Christine Rockliffe took over the Bristol Inn, in Chapel Hill in February 2016.
Punch Taverns, which owns the pub, has nominated the pair for the Great British Pub Awards, where they could win the main prize.
Punch chose Andrew and Christine for their charity fundraising and work with the community.
Their initiatives include a baby group called Chuckles and arranging play activities.
Andrew said: “Just by being nominated by Punch Taverns is an achievement in itself.
“We are looking forward to the awards in September and hopefully coming back as winners of the Great British Pub Awards 2018.”
The pub will host a charity event for Cancer Research from Saturday to August 27, where bands and dance groups will perform.
