Bristol Airport will be flying to more holiday hotspots next year.

New summer-only routes from the South West airport were launched by British Airways this year, and due to their popularity, more jaunts will remain accessible to travellers.

From May 2018, there will be an extra weekend flight to Malaga, with additional summer routes to Ibiza, Palma and Florence.

Nigel Scott, business development director for the airport, said: “We are delighted with the announcement that British Airways will add an additional Malaga flight to the summer schedule from Bristol Airport.

“Ibiza, Palma, Malaga and Florence are popular destinations and offer passengers from the West Country and Wales region a wider choice of flights.”

The announcement comes after the airport began considering different expansion options as part of its masterplan.
