A Lions club has handed over £200 for library books as the latest instalment in its Dream Scheme.

Clevedon Lions has supported a school again with the donation, this time boosting the fundraising efforts of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at All Saints Primary School, in Swiss Valley.

Following the disruption during the school’s major renovations, its library had to be moved to the nearby All Saints Church but is now back in the main building.

More than 200 new books have been purchased with the cash to refresh and restock the library.

The books focus on the school curriculum and are suitable for all year groups and reading abilities.

Headteacher Stephen Webber, PTA member Anna Griffin and some pupils accepted the books from the Lions.

The cash was raised through the charitable group’s annual Santa Float.
