Nailsea has been filled with colour this summer, thanks to a donation from Barratt Homes.

The housebuilder has teamed up with Nailsea in Bloom to fund planting schemes around the town to make the area more welcoming.

Sales director Andrea Pilgrim said: “We are pleased to be playing a role in helping further enhance this picturesque neighbourhood, close to the new homes we are creating at Engine Lane.

“It is important to us that we work closely with schools, clubs and organisations near to our new developments – and our relationship with Nailsea in Bloom is an excellent opportunity to do just that.”

Wendy Mobbs, from Nailsea in Bloom, added: “The group really appreciates this sponsorship from Barratt Homes, which helps us to enhance the town.”

Barratt Homes’ proposal to build 183 homes off Engine Lane was approved by North Somerset Council in December.
