Deadline approaching for village show entries

A village show with baking, photography and flower arranging classes will take place in Backwell this weekend.

The Backwell and District Village show will feature both adult and children’s classes, as well as a family competition.

The show, which will take place at the WI Hall, in Station Road, on Saturday will support a number of good causes in the village through proceeds from refreshments and stalls.

Entries close at 5pm on Wednesday, and forms can be sent to

Exhibitors will be able to take their entries along between 8.30am and 10.30am, when the hall will close for judging.

The show will open at 2pm, when there will be activities for youngsters to take part in.

Entry is free.
