The club was run by three churches and was held at Nailsea Methodist Church for five mornings last week.

Children aged five to 11 enjoyed learning about African tribes, building shelters and taking part in challenges.

Rev Jolyon Trickey from Holy Trinity Church talked to the group about Nailsea Uganda Water Project and the youngsters also enjoyed some songs and crafts, made clay models and listened to stories.

On the last day, families were invited in with a picnic to listen to some songs and find out what the children had done.

Eighty-one children attended the holiday club which was run by Holy Trinity Church, Nailsea Methodist Church and Christ Church.
