NAILSEA police officers have been patrolling local underpasses following reports of anti social behaviour and young people smoking Cannabis.

PCSOs Kate and Emily from the Nailsea Neighbourhood Policing team were made aware of these issues through the StreetSafe app, which allows anyone to anonymously report public places that have made them feel unsafe.

This could be for a number of reasons. Perhaps a street light is out, or maybe an area has been vandalised.

Residents that have been followed or verbally abused are also encouraged to come forward, so that police can monitor the area and prevent potential crimes from happening.

A spokesperson from the North Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team said: "PCSOs Kate & Emily from the Nailsea Neighbourhood Policing team have been out on foot patrol today.

"They paid particular attention to the underpasses where people have reported #ASB and young people smoking Cannabis.

"These areas were reported to us via the #StreetSafe app."
