OVER £2,000 has been raised for Weston Hospicecare and Congresbury Scouts and Guides following the "amazing" Congresbury Christmas Fair.
On December 4, members of the local community got to browse innovative stalls on Broad Street, including the Cubs’ human fruit machine, the Brownies’ bottle tombola, and a festive raffle.
Children's entertainment, a brass band and more ensured fun for all the family.
Bovis Homes, which is building new properties on St Congars Place, donated money and a raffle to the event to help support community initiatives.
Sarah Heiermann, from Congresbury Scouts and Guides, helped to organise the event. She said: “The Congresbury Christmas Fair is held every year and 2023 was amazing – the whole village community came together.
“Not only did we raise a fantastic sum, which will help enormously, but it provided some terrific opportunities for Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts and local residents to enjoy some festive games and celebrations! Thank you to Bovis Homes and all the local businesses for the support.”
Natasha Palmer, area sales director at Bovis Homes, added: “We were pleased to help such a wonderful community event and donate to two incredible causes. Well done to the Congresbury Scouts and Guides for all their hard work!”
